Embedding Google Video Into Your Website

October 27, 2007 by Bruce Walls

As easy as it might appear to some people embedding video for the first time into your blog or website seems daunting to others. Which ever video sharing site you use the process is pretty much the same but let’s get started with Google Video.

Find the video that you want to use or select one from your Google Video account. Watch the video to make sure it is the correct one, then to the right you will see the information panel. Click on the ‘Email – Embed’ button, then on the ‘Embed HTML’. Right click over the code and ‘Select All’ then right click on the highlighted code and ‘Copy’.

The code is now saved on the ‘Clipboard’ ready to be pasted into your blog or website. For safety paste the code into ‘Notepad’ and save it. Just go ahead and paste the code into your website page or blog post where you want it, normally after some text referring to the video and save it and it is ready for posting.

Just watch my video to see how easy it is.

This video was made using the free Jing Project screen capture video program.

If you are wondering which video I was embedding in the above video then check it out now. Mike Stewart is ‘the man’ when it come to internet video.
