RSS Feeds

What Is RSS?
(Skip this section if you already know all about RSS)
You may have seen little RSS buttons around the Internet. If you were wondering what they are.
RSS means Really Simple Syndication. When you subscribe to a site’s RSS feed, the information from that feed is sent directly to you. No need to go out and check for updates all the time.
How do you get started? Easy!
Download a free RSS Reader first. This is special software that reads the RSS feeds
Windows RssReader
http://www.rssreader.com/
Mac NetNewsWire
http://ranchero.com/netnewswire/
Once you’re set up, here’s all you have to do
Right-click (control-click for Mac users) on any RSS button on a site, blog or news source that interests you.
Then select Copy Shortcut (Copy Link to Clipboard for Mac, Copy Link Location for Firefox browsers), and paste that URL into your RSS Reader.
And that’ it! You’re subscribed.
Feeds available from Website Video GuideRight click on the RSS button and select “Copy Shortcut” to take the feed to your favorite feed reader or use the content in that feed on your own website.
Above are feeds already created for you to use. If you want to create a custom feed on any keyword likely to turn up posts I have made in the past, just type a keyword or phrase below and you will have a totally unique RSS feed to post on your site!
CREATE A CUSTOM FEED!
EXAMPLE: Say you want a feed from Website Video Guide that includes any post that mentions “Camtasia.” Just type in Camtasia in the box above and a page full of XML gibberish will appear. Copy the url of that page and add it to your favorte reader.
Not only will you get this feed and all the items that are CURRENTLY at Website Video Guide, but every time I post in the future about Cantasia, the feed will automatically update, just like regular feeds do!
