Dates_picYesterday I talked about the amazing [tag]Photo Story 3[/tag] from Microsoft and what a great tool it was for quickly making videos from just one picture or from as many as you wanted. I’m sure you will agree that the results were pretty good especially considering that the software is free.

Dates_picI came across this piece of free software from Microsoft recently which allows you to create a video in under ten minutes. No camcorder is required, just a digital camera for your own pictures. Nothing more than basic skills and a polished video is quickly produced from nothing more than one or more pictures from your photograph collection.

Date_pic[tag]Video files[/tag] need a lot of space, digital video typically uses 3.6MB of space per second which equates to 1GB for a 5 minute video. You will also need working space on your hard disk. It is generally accepted that you multiply the size of the video by four when allowing for working space.
