The new deal marks the first time that a video sharing Internet site is available on television. Neuf HD TV subscribers will be able to watch more than 30,000 Dailymotion videos in full screen format on their televisions thanks to ‘MotionMaker’ software encoded specifically for Neuf HD TV.
Dailymotion will hundreds of new videos each day. The Dailymotion-Neuf HD TV interactive interface was developed in partnership with the Proservia group.
Viewers will be able to navigate the Dailymotion site using their TV remote control. Viewing options include full screen, half-screen, which will ensure a better size to quality ratio and player mode in which users can share information about the video being played.
Neuf is hoping the new deal will open its service to new subscribers from Dailymotion’s 10 million+ members.
This is another big step forwards for internet video and another good reason why you should be making videos and submitting them to video sharing sites such as Dailymotion which is rated 7th on our list of the top 50 video sharing sites with a PR7.
